Aspen, Colorado

After the silver bust in the early 1900s, Aspen was re-shaped as a ski town in the 1940s.  About 40 years later Aspen became a popular cultural environment with the help of Chicago industrialists, Walter and Elizabeth Paepcke. Today the Paepke’s  “Aspen idea” of nourishing the mind, body and spirit continues to drive this dynamic mountain community.  

More recently, Aspen has grabbed the headlines as the place where celebrities visit to get away from the crowds and enjoy the luxury and natural beauty that Aspen offers. With four ski resorts all a quick car ride away, Aspen offers any terrain type to accommodate your ski vacation. The downtown core of Aspen offers a multitude of gift shops, high-end boutiques, art galleries and excellent restaurants, all surrounded by historic and natural beauty.
