Basalt Hotel Renovation
In late spring of 2014, Basalt Mountain Inn, formerly known as the Green Drake, underwent an extensive remodel that resulted in a completely new look and feel for this long-time Basalt hotel. Originally built in 1951, the renovations have taken the hotel into the present day with a contemporary mountain look, clean lines, and upscale amenities.
The footprint of our two buildings has remained the same, but all 24 of the hotel rooms were gutted and received new insulation and mechanical systems, new windows, doors, bathroom fixtures, and wet bars with granite counter tops. The renovation also allowed us to design an additional suite to the property, bringing the total hotel room number at the Basalt Mountain Inn to 25 rooms (51 beds). The rooms have all been outfitted with new linens, including white down comforters, as well Keurig coffee makers, new kitchenette appliances, flat panel televisions, as well as wireless internet.
The lobby was also remodeled and expanded with a small seating area so that Basalt Mountain Inn can offer a continental breakfast for our guests. The exterior of the hotel was painted in a crisp gray with white trim. A lovely yard was added, and the landscaping was updated as well. We are quite pleased with the refreshed look of the Basalt Mountain Inn, and we know you will be as well!
